2019-02-12 Annual international conference on "Coast to Ocean: Priority actions and investments", Alexandria, Egypt

Dear Colleagues,

The  National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is going to organize its annual international conference on "Coast to Ocean:  Priority actions and investments", at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria, Egypt.

This conference is an important step to spot light on the way in which the marine and coastal ecosystem sustainability issues interact with social and economic pressures to reach integrated solutions. The conference will provide a unique forum to assess the impact of the current growth of industrial, commercial and touristic activities on ocean and coast. In addition to, risk analysis, hazards mitigation, ranging from specific assessment of risk to mitigation associated with both natural and anthropogenic hazards on coast to ocean. The conference deliverables would offer the basis for future strategies in the region, as well as the way in which the marine and coastal ecosystem sustainability issues interact with social and economic pressures to reach integrated solutions.

The program themes are structured in support sustainable development of coast and ocean; and community consciousness of the value of sustainable development,

Important Dates:

Conference Venue: Alexandria, Egypt 

Conference Date: 12^th – 14^th February 2019

Abstract Submission deadline: 8 November, 2018

Registration fees for Foreign scientists with abstract submission (450 €), for Foreign scientists attendance only (300 €), for Egyptian Scientists (750 EGP), and for Egyptian Students (300 EGP).

Note: Coast to Ocean 2019 program draft and recommended Hotels designated with special offer will be announced soon.

What is included in the registration:

·         Attendance only registration includes: Access to all sessions, exhibits, proceedings and coffee breaks.

Registration cancellation and refund policy:

·         Refund policy is not allowed.
